Thursday, June 14, 1945 pg. 1 “Pvt. Kenneth Walker Dies In Hospital” Pvt. Kenneth L. Walker, 33, in the U.S. Army, died from an illness yesterday in Walter Reid General hospital, Washington, D.C. The body will be returned to Eureka and funeral arrangements will be under the direction of the Cooper Mortuary. Pvt. Walker was born in Mendocino County and had lived here six years before entering the Army. He was a member of the Cooks and Waiters union and had been employed at the Sportsmen’s club. Surviving are two children living at Crannell; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Walker, Eureka; brothers, Rodney and David Walker of Eureka, Pvt. Howard Walker at Camp Hood, Texas, Clifford Walker of Willits and William Walker of Oakland. |
