Wednesday, April 18, 1945 pg. 2 “Fortunan Killed: In Germany” FORTUNA, April 17- On March 22 in Germany Pfc. Romolda Natt of Fortuna was killed in action according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Natt, and his wife of Fortuna. Pfc. Natt attended Arcata schools and was employed by the Pacific Lumber company before entering the army in May of last year. He went overseas in November, 1944, after training at Camp Roberts, and participated in action in Belgium. He had received the Combat Infantry badge. Besides his wife and parents, surviving are his children, Donald, Dorothy Mae, and Lilian; brothers, Robert and Sandy, Jr., of Fortuna; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Natt, and aunt Lilah Crutchfield of Blue Lake. |
