“Nephew of Eureka Man Killed”
In the mid-air explosion of a B-29 Liberator bomber near Westover Field, Mass., Lt. Victor F. Belotti of Spruce Point, was killed, according to information received here. He was piloting the bomber in a routine flight.
The pilot, lost with all members of his crew in the disaster, was commissioned about six months ago on graduating from the Advanced Twin Engine Flying School at Blytheville, Ark. His father, Victor F. Belotti, was a recent Eureka visitor, and Frank Belotti had expected the pilot to visit here within the next few days before reporting for overseas assignment.
